One of the many joys of living in San Miguel de Allende is the blooming of the Jacaranda trees each year. The skyline is filled with lavender accents and the ground below the trees is carpeted with yesterday’s flowers. Sidewalks that are meticulously swept each day throughout the year are left un-swept with fallen blossoms. The view of the city from my rooftop is spectacular year-around, but the splashes of lavender across the panorama in the spring are certainly the highlight of the year.
